Facts about One‘ula Beach Park / Hau Bush and Haseko
Haseko conveyed oceanfront land to the City and County of Honolulu to expand Oneula Beach Park to more than 35 acres. As a result, the shoreline is 40% longer, increasing public access to the ocean.
At the City’s request, Haseko completed a new access driveway to the beach park in 2013. During construction, Haseko’s contractors removed as much overgrowth and trash as their permits allowed, to help the City Department of Parks and Recreation prepare the area for eventual public use. The City owns the park and is responsible for maintenance and enforcement.
Haseko continues to support clean-up efforts of community groups in Ewa Beach to help protect Oneula Beach Park and the Hoakalei shoreline. For more info, please call the City Dept. of Parks & Recreation at (808) 768-3003 or email parks@honolulu.gov.
